FTC Disclosure Compliance Rules

According to the new FTC regulations, bloggers need to link out to their disclosure page in every post voicing their opinion or review of a product. These new rules are considered standard practice but some topics are not included in the regulations, including sponsored ads guest posts, and reviews done by company employees.

The new 2015 Federal Trade Commission Disclosure compliance rules require bloggers and site owners to connect the dots with their followers and audience.

What Are Affiliate Links?

When I say affiliate company, I’m talking about Amazon, eBay, Craigslist, Ali Express, Newegg.com and other companies of this sort. Anything that directs your readers to outside websites in order to make a purchase is an affiliate link.

Tabletsly.com may also receive compensation from other companies if a reader clicks on another company’s affiliate link on Tabletsly.com and subsequently purchases an item or service. The compensation received will never affect the price or purchase of products.

What about sponsored content?

If there is one major thing we have tried to communicate on our website, it’s that we don’t write sponsored posts. It’s something we take seriously because we truly wish to operate ethically in our field.
